I am not sure of the brand, but they are 3" Stainless, mandrel bent, very high quality, I personally think 3" is overkill, but i got them for $150!!!! so i can't complain. The only thing i did not like was when they bolt up to the precats, the damn test pipe is so large in diameter that i could not get the stud nuts to tighten down all the way, and i could not even get an impact socket on it because the tolerances between the stud and side of test pipe.Anyways~ i installed them... and WOW, it sounds so damn mean, spools up so much faster. Usually when i would shift into 2nd while boosting (with main cats) It would have just a second or so of lag, but now it just shoots right outta second and every gear boost so nice!! Right after i installed them i made a quick run to max out the speedo, its great! Whoever is thinking of getting test pipes and is hesitant, DO IT!!! (but get 2.5 inch) my god the sound alone is worth the money, but you'll love the gains.I wanted to get down pipes also, but I talked to larry at United Auto Sales and he told me that if you run down pipes on stock turbos, it will cause them to go out prematurely because they are designed to be used with back pressure (the pre-cat) for the seals. So Get Test Pipes First, if you still have stock turbos. Just thought id share. Later,Shawn300zTT
ps. I have a slight exhaust leak from my precat to my 3" test pipe, would it cause any serious problems? anyone have any tips that has had the same problem that I have about the pipe diameter being so large that you cannot tighten all of the cat stud bolts down all the way? Thank alot!
